AN INSPIRATIONAL personal trainer is helping empower a group of mums with autistic children.

Jules Duncan, of Badass Rules, visited the Little Trailblazers at Branchton Community Centre to encourage them to put their own health and wellbeing back at the top of their 'to-do' lists.

Greenock mum Laura Graham - who writes a blog about life with her four-year-old autistic son Kerr - set up the group to bring families together for support and friendship.

Laura, who lives in Ayr Terrace, said: "I am really inspired by Jules.

"I worry that when you have a child with additional support needs you forget about yourself.

"I gave up my work to look after Kerr but there is a danger that I forget that I am not only Kerr's mum and I am Laura as well.

"I wanted to give the parents that come along the chance to find out about Jules classes and getting back some space."

Greenock woman Jules offers a fresh way of looking at getting fit and healthy in both body and mind.

Jules, 38, runs has her own programme in the JC Fitness Studio in Greenock after losing four stone herself.

She days she is delighted to share her own story and inspire others.

She added: "I am all about health and wellbeing.

"It is about being happy and feeling part of a team and not just about wearing skinnier jeans.

"I want mums to come along and make space for themselves."
