BABIES and toddlers in Inverclyde were invited on a terrific teddy bear picnic.
The local Hartbeeps group, run by local woman Abby Allen, takes tots on a different sound journey each week using props and songs.
Abby arranged a week-long teddy bear picnic programme in her latest addition, and it proved a big hit with the little ones and their parents.
She laid on everything needed for a successful picnic - including teddies, toy food, plates, cups and a giant teapot.
The older groups tucked into jam sandwiches as they enjoyed the Bread and Jam Song.
Eleven classes ran over the course of the week and Abby was delighted with how they each went.
She said: “They all had lots of fun - it was definitely one of my favourite themes to run as from newborn right up to pre-school there was something to interest them all.
“Lots of parents commented on how much fun it was for both them and the little ones.
"There seemed to be quite the trend of little ones napping after class.
“I love changing the theme up as whilst the class is for the children, it is so important to keep the adults interested.
"The more they get involved the more the little ones benefit from it.
“I really loved the fact the theme worked so well for all ages, as some themes have entirely different activities for the different age groups but the picnic was just enjoyed by all.”
