ARMED police were sent to a siege in Gourock with the main road through the town closed as a result.
A heavy police presence was attendance outside a block of flats on Shore Street.
It's believed the incident began around 6am this morning.
Items appear to have been thrown out of a flat onto the road below.
A man has now been arrested by police in connection with the disturbance.
