AN eggs-cellent gesture by call kind call centre staff will help make Easter special for children in Inverclyde.

For the second year in a row staff at Webhelp in Greenock have backed Children in Poverty Inverclyde’s appeal for chocolate eggs.

Staff donated money to dress down and the proceeds were used to purchase 60 eggs.

Generous staff also made a £50 donation to the charity.

Seamus Lamb, trustee of Children in Poverty Inverclyde, was joined by chairman Pat Burke to collect the donations on Tuesday.

Seamus said: “The staff at Webhelp are tremendous.

"This is the second year they have supported us by purchasing Easter eggs and we are very grateful.

“Webhelp engages lots in the community and helps out local charities - we are delighted to be one of them.

“The eggs will help make Easter very special for lots of local children.

“We are so appreciative of the ongoing support of the staff here at Webhelp.”

Brian Wilkinson, Webhelp ambassador, says it was a unanimous decision to help with the collection again this year.

He said: “Each year we support a corporate charity but we also try to support local ones when we can.

“We took part in the Easter egg collection last year and everyone wanted to do it again this year.

“We all dressed down for a month and made a donation which was then used to purchase the Easter eggs.

“We are delighted we were able to help and make sure Easter is special for local children.”
