YOUNGSTERS showed off their gymnastic skills at an Easter exercise holiday camp.

It has been running for four years but the 2019 edition has been its busiest yet.

There were assault courses, soft play, beams and practice bars as well arts and crafts on the go.

Lynne Cameron, owner of Dazzles Dance Studio, runs the holiday camps in conjunction with Christine Anderson of Inverclyde Gymnastics.

She said: "It was really busy, the intake for Easter is at a record high.

"Two weeks before the Easter break we were 50 per cent full."

They also run camps in the summer and in the October holiday.

Lynne said: "It's a good alternative for parents who are working.

"We have a mixed age range from three to 16 and of boys and girls."

The camps involve structured play and two 30-minute free play sessions and the days are set up in different ways.

Lynne said: "It is child-led and shaped by what they want to do.

"We have gymnastic equipment, the beam, practice bars, climbing, a big trampoline and air track fitness."

Gillian Cameron senior play leader said: "We had a breakfast club between 8.30am and 10.30am then morning and afternoon sessions plus supervised lunch for those children booked in for the whole day."
