DETECTIVES are hunting fire-raisers who torched three cars in Greenock this morning.
The vehicles were in a car park in James Watt Way.
All three are write-offs and a fourth parked beside them was also damaged.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Young, of Greenock CID, said: "We are investigating a wilful fire-raising to four vehicles at James Watt Way at 0320 this morning.”
Vehicles had been deliberately set alight and a fourth parked nearby was damaged.
"Three vehicles are write-offs.
"Police and the fire service attended and extinguished the fire.
"Inquiries are ongoing to trace all registered keepers of the cars."
Police are appealing for any witness who may have been in that area at that time, including at the McDonald's nearby, to come forward.
Anyone with information should call 101.
