LITTLE princess Amelia Morrison has taken the Teletots 2019 crown - after the cute tot captured the hearts of readers.

The seven-month-old came out top after thousands of votes were cast by our readers.

Amelia is taking it all in her stride and was happy to pose for a photograph with her parents Kendal More and William Morrison.

Now she will take her place at top nursery Enchanted Forest in Inverkip, winning our prize worth £5,000.

Tele readers cast 18,500 votes in this year's hugely popular family contest, with Amelia clinching first place by just 14 votes.

Delighted parents Kendal, 26, and William, 29, who live in Greenock's Morris Street, were thrilled that their beautiful daughter was crowned as this year's champ.

Kendal said: "Amelia is a brilliant baby - she's so content and happy.

"I think she will love the nursery."

Kendal says she is grateful to everyone who voted, especially friends, family and her colleagues at the RBS Mortgage Centre in Greenock and William's colleagues at Amazon in Gourock.

She said: "My friends and family were all voting.

"My nana Mary McNeill also got all her friends to vote and I also had a Whatsapp group with my pals so I would send the online voting link every day."

As well as the free place at Enchanted Forest Amelia's parents pick up a £300 cash prize.

Congratulations also go to our runners up, with Shane Niall Knox in second place, winning £150.

Third placed winning £50 was Adam Munro.

Tele editor Brian Hossack said: "We'd like to congratulate Amelia and her family on their win in this year's Teletots.

"This competition remains hugely popular and clearly has a special place in the hearts of our readers.

"We are grateful to thank our sponsors Enchanted Forest for once again generously putting up such a wonderful prize, and would like to thank everyone who took part and voted."
