AILEYMILL Nursery kids were were mellow in yellow as they held a colourful party in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

A great team effort from staff, parents and youngsters support the local charity's annual appeal.

Go Yellow brought sunshine to a cloudy day - and even turned the water in the play areas the same colour.

Youngsters went to nursery dressed in shades of lemon, corn and banana.

Lead practitioner Kay Anderson said: "We like to support the hospice and have a Go Yellow day every day.

"The hospice touches everyone's lives.

"We always get great support from all the families and the children love it."

As well as wearing yellow and enjoying yellow activities, there was also a bake sale.

Parents donated cakes with yellow to sell and raise lots of cash.

By the end of the day thanks to everyone's support they had collected in more than £100.

Fundraiser Elaine McNeill said: "We are delighted that Aileymill Nursery have chosen to take part in Go Yellow.

"They have been avid supporters of our work for many years.

"It is great that they are teaching children from a very young age about our services and the need for fundraising."
