BRANCHTON Community Centre put families first with a fantastic fun day to round off an action-packed summer.
The top team organised a one-off event to bring the curtain down on their hugely successful school holiday programme.
Hailed as a 'celebration of community' it was an action-packed day with an inflatables run, entertainers, games, food and a disco to get the party started.
This summer the centre reached out to help cut the cost of the school break by running holidays hubs and playschemes with day trips for the kids.
Centre manager Willie Wilson said: "The fun day was an amazing success.
"It was really, really busy.
"We had at least 600 people through our door.
"This was a celebration of our community and a great way to finish off our summer activities."
Over the last few weeks the centre ran a programme of free family activities three days a week with lunch provided and a total of 130 families registered for the events.
The playscheme took youngsters on trips to popular visitor attractions like Blair Drummond Safari Park and Heads of Ayr Farm Park.
The centre would like to say thanks to Gillian Maxwell from Amazon for the games and decorations, Activ8 Our Place for a £250 donation and Tesco for the hot dog rolls.
They would also like to say thank you to Hot Stuff Disco, entertainer Uncle Billy and everyone else who contributed to a successful summer.
