TWO men have been arrested over an alleged slashing assault in Greenock town centre yesterday morning.
A 44-year-old man was attacked at the underpass on Westburn Street at around 9.30am.
He required four stitches to a laceration to his left jaw.
Detective Sergeant Ross Crawford, of Greenock CID, said: "Two males, aged 44 and 38, are in custody and are due to appear in court tomorrow."
