Casualty staff treated the victim
A MAN was taken to hospital following a serious assault in Greenock this morning.
Police were called to the footpath outside Ravenscraig Court at 12.50am.
The 50-year-old victim was attacked by a group of men and taken to Inverclyde Royal for treatment.
Greenock CID say their enquiries are ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch by calling 101 or phoning CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
