LOVELY ladies donned their finest and raised a tremendous £3,000 for causes close to their hearts.

Top team Helen Coyle, Lynn Glancy and Wendy White organised the fundraiser at the Hibs Hall in Port Glasgow.

Around 150 of their friends attended the bash, which was a sell-out success.

Helen said: "It was a great atmosphere.

"Everyone had a great time and we had lots of great raffle prizes.

"Around 150 ladies were there, all dressed up - it was really good fun."

The funds raised were divided between disabled athlete Kyle Brotherton, the Parklea Branching Out project and Port Glasgow Otters swimming club.

Helen said: "We like to help people in the local community.

"I know they depend on donations and appreciate the support.

"I was really overwhelmed by the amount we raised and here's to the next year.

"We're definitely running another one in 2020."

Helen wants to thank everyone who supported the ladies' day and all those who donated prizes and contributed.

This included famous Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell, who sent the women a signed CD and photograph.

Others who helped included Tesco, Pelmets Creations and Interior Decorations in Greenock, plus staff at the Larkfield Unit and the Tuesday Belles group from the hall while Helen's brother Joseph Dunn also donated £100 after completing a 10k.
