The accident happened between Port Glasgow and Gourock stations
SCOTRAIL have tonight announced that a person has been struck by a train between Port Glasgow and Gourock.
The tragic incident happened within the last hour.
Emergency services are at the scene of the incident.
No further details have been released but passengers have been warned to expect disruption.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: “Sadly, someone has been struck by a train between Port Glasgow and Gourock.
“Services between Glasgow Central and Gourock will be terminated at and started back from Port Glasgow.
“We have ticket acceptance in place with McGill’s Buses between Port Glasgow and Gourock.”
