MILLIONS of viewers are set to tune in to see a new show fronted by an Inverclyde baking star.

Nichola Reith, who runs the Three Sisters Bake business with her sisters Gillian and Linsey, stars in Flour Power - a 10-part baking show which will air on Saturday mornings on BBC 1.

The show will see workmates across Scotland battle for the cake-making crown with Nichola providing baking guidance and judging the best efforts.

Nichola said: “Being a TV baking judge has been an amazing and totally surreal experience.

"For this pipe dream to become a reality has been almost too good to be true.

"Baking is in my blood and I love nothing more than trying out creations other people have made.

"I was bowled over by the standard of baking from some of the contestants.

"It was a true pinch-me moment when we found out the show would be aired on a primetime TV slot on BBC 1 on Saturday mornings.”

Flour Power will be shown on BBC 1 from Saturday at 11am for 10 weeks.

Three Sisters Bake established their first café in Quarrier's Village in 2011.

The sisters recently opened Cake Bar on Great Western Road in Glasgow while there is another café in Killearn and a regular pop up in Platform at Argyle Street Arches in the city centre.
