LITTLE witches and wizards were spellbound at a spooky storytelling session held in Greenock's Central Library.
It was turned into a cauldron of creativity, with lots of tales and songs for Halloween.
The event was part of the successful Galoshans Festival in the town and saw staff transform their popular regular Bookbug session into a scary spectacular.
Customer services manager Marion Taggart said: "We were very much involved in the festival and there was lots happening in the library.
"Everyone had a great day.
"Our Bookbug sessions are always really popular.
"We get lots of parents who are working and especially dads on a Saturday."
As well as the Galoshans-inspired activities, there was also a range of events throughout the day to mark the 200th anniversary of the death of Greenock's most famous son James Watt.
The Greenock inventor died in 1819, leaving behind a legacy that still lives on today.
The kids at the Central Library session explored his work and after the library fun, families spilled onto the streets and headed for the Beacon for more Galoshans Festival action.
The annual event has become a firm favourite in the calendar and organisers declared this year's programme the most successful one yet.
