A HOODED yob trashed two newly-opened shops in a late night vandal attack in Larkfield.

The thug was caught on CCTV smashing the windows of Greggs and Nisa Local in Auchhmead Road with what appeared to be a hammer before sprinting off.

He also caused damage to a cash machine.

Video footage shows the young man approaching the shops from the street before launching the mindless attack around 10.20pm on Sunday.

He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a hooded top.

Nisa Local was able to open yesterday morning as usual, with a boarded-up window.

The Greggs shop is currently closed for business due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Police are keen to speak to anyone with information on the attack and can be reached on the 101 number, or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
