THE coronavirus pandemic has caused death, sadness and misery across the area and beyond.

Lives have been lost, businesses lie in ruin and people's livelihoods have been left in tatters by this unseen enemy.

But amid the darkness there have been many uplifting stories of courage, bravery and community spirit.

The residents of Oxford Avenue have been determined to stay upbeat during lockdown and their colourful efforts to spread some cheer have put a smile of plenty of faces.
