A MAN charged with spitting in the face of a woman police officer in Port Glasgow and declaring he had coronavirus remains locked up.
Derek King was fully committed for trial during a private appearance at Paisley Sheriff Court and remanded in custody.
The 26-year-old is charged with carrying out the alleged assault on the female PC at the Port's Marloch Avenue on April 24.
King, of Mull Avenue, made no plea through lawyer Gerry Keenan at the initial calling of the case on petition.
A date for King's next court appearance is to be confirmed.
