COMMUNITY campaigners are embarking on a tree planting mission to help alleviate flooding in Inverclyde.
The Yearn Stane project will see thousands of native trees planted, with eroding peatlands reinstated to store carbon and water to tackle flooding in Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire.
The project aims to restore the ecology on more than 100 square miles of land.
