MEMBERS of Home Fix Scotland's Environmental team are digging deep to boost community spirit during the coronavirus crisis.
They are creating a floral tribute to key workers in Gourock.
The colourful tribute will be on display at the grounds of Eastern View in Gourock, and will honour those working on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flower bed will contain more than five different varieties of plants and has been a combined effort between Home Fix Scotland’s Environmental team and Parklea Branching Out Association in Port Glasgow, who sourced the plants.
It will be seen in its full glory this week when work is expected to be completed following a delivery of colourful Echeveria plants.
Derek Robertson, Home Fix Scotland’s environmental supervisor, said: “We just wanted to show our appreciation to those working on the frontline.
"Everyone in the country really values their hard work and dedication and this seemed like a great way to say thank you.
"It’s on a prominent site in Gourock and has the community benefit of adding a bit of colour during these times."
John Williams, head of operations at Home Fix Scotland said: “We welcomed Derek’s idea as an opportunity to do something positive in the community and to acknowledge the invaluable role that frontline workers have paid.
“It’s important we try and keep spirits high in these testing times and I’m very impressed with the care, attention and effort they’ve put in.
