A PAIR of big-hearted bakers donated delicious treats to Ardgowan Hospice staff for their hard work.

Tracy Beaton and Beverley Kearns are both keen home bakers and dropped off a number of delicious treats like cupcakes and old-fashioned traybakes to the in-patient unit.

The ladies are River Clyde Homes employees so they are no strangers to supporting the hospice.

Tracy, from Greenock, said: "Baking has been a hobby of mine for a really long time and I've been doing it more during lockdown, as has Beverley.

"We both decided we wanted to give something back to frontline staff.

"We dropped off some baked goods to those in Ardgowan as we know how hard things are just now.

"River Clyde Homes are avid supporters of the hospice so it was great we were able to help and play our part too.

"We hope it maybe helped brighten up their days."

As well as Ardgowan Hospice, the busy baking duo have also been donating to staff at Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Greenock police station.

Elaine McNeill, hospice fundraising officer, has thanked the ladies for their lovely donation.

She said: "The home-baking that both Tracy and Beverley dropped off went down a treat.

"We really appreciate both of them thinking of the staff at Ardgowan and are very thankful they went to this effort."
