POLICE are hunting a man who subjected staff in a Greenock town centre store to a volley of racial abuse over a number of days.
Officers were called to the Kilblain Street premises following a disturbance on Wednesday afternoon which is said to have followed repeated verbal assaults in the same premises over preceding days.
Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: "At 12.30pm on Thursday police responded to a disturbance at a shop on Kilblain Street whereby a male had been abusive to staff, using racial language over a number of days."
Police say they are hopeful of making an arrest, saying they are following a positive line of inquiry as they try to trace the person responsible.
