INVERCLYDE MSP Stuart McMillan says Scotland must keep its environmental standards in line with the European Union - even after Brexit.
Mr McMillan is backing a Bill which would retain EU laws for areas that have been devolved to Scotland.
He said: "Brexit must not mean a race to the bottom on environmental standards.
"This Bill will enable us to keep pace with Europe and will complement Scotland’s world-leading ambitions in tackling the climate change emergency."
