A BLADE attack accused man locked up on a charge of knifing someone multiple times has failed in a bid for bail.
James Keogh, 34, allegedly forced his way in to a Greenock flat and repeatedly struck another man on the head and body.
He is said to have brandished a knife at the man before carrying out the claimed serious assault within a property on Grieve Road.
Prosecutors say that the alleged victim was severely injured and permanently disfigured following an incident on March 9.
Keogh — remanded in custody since March — is also accused of wilfully and recklessly throwing a vase at a television and kicking a door.
He lodged a motion for bail through lawyer Derek Buchanan at Greenock Sheriff Court on Tuesday but the move was opposed by prosecutor Frankie Morgan.
Sheriff Joseph Hughes remanded Keogh in custody and the case is due to call again on September 8.
