A MAN causing a disturbance outside Inverclyde Royal was found to have a firearm and ammunition in his house.
Police were called to Inverclyde Royal on Sunday at 3.40pm to deal with an intoxicated male being disruptive at the A&E department.
Officers returned the man to his home address, where he became verbally abusive and aggressive.
Police found an air rifle and shotgun cartridges and obtained a warrant to recover the items.
The 40-year-old was arrested for alleged disorder and possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition.
He is now due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court at a later date.
