THE Esplanade 'Big Bear' has been welcomed into the Scouting family.
Local Scout leader Kathleen Docherty sees the bear during her daily waterfront exercise each day - and was delighted to spot him dressed in Beavers uniform.
She immediately decided to present a Camp Craft Activity Badge.
Esplanade couple Carol Anne Crawford and Ian Cormack have created a Facebook page for people to keep up with the bear's daily updates and fancy dress costume changes.
They are also raising cash for good causes through his exploits - search 'Esplanade's Big Bear' to join the group.
