A ROYAL Navy ship familiar to Telegraph readers and Clyde coast watchers left her Clyde base to begin a tour of duty in the Gulf.
HMS Penzance — a Sandown Class mine counter measures vessel — will relieve HMS Blyth, which has been operating in the region for the last four years.
The ship and her 40-strong crew departed from the Faslane Naval Base.
