TWELVE playparks in Inverclyde have now reopened as lockdown restrictions are eased.
The play areas had been closed to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
The reopened facilities are at Ailsa Road, Battery Park, Birkmyre Park in Kilmacolm, Boglestone, Coronation Park, Fox Street, Inverkip Community Centre, King Street, Leven Road, Sir Michael Street, Wellpark and Wemyss Bay Community Centre.
Councillor Michael McCormick said: “Re-opening these play areas is a visible example of how the hard work the whole community put in during the lockdown is now starting to pay off.
“We will be putting up signs asking people to make sure that children use hand sanitiser before and after they play on the equipment.
"People should also still follow social distancing guidelines.”
