THE air cushioned barge built and launched at Ferguson Marine in Port Glasgow is being taken apart ahead of its journey to the Caspian Sea.

A heavy lift of the ACB out of the Clyde is the first stage of the process and the vessel will be placed on blocks and 'deconstructed' for transit.

Project bosses say it will be on the move at the end of August.

The two halves of the ACB plus the propulsion modules, lift fans and accommodation modules will all be loaded onto a transit vessel.
