THE Army is to hand control of the mobile coronavirus testing unit in Inverclyde over to the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Inverclyde currently has a temporary mobile testing site at Port Glasgow Health Centre, which has already had stints at the Waterfront Leisure Centre and in Larkfield.
The government says that from September all such facilities will be operated by the ambulance service.
Testing for coronavirus is available to anyone over five years of age with symptoms.
Tests at the local unit can be booked online at www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus or you can call 0800 028 2816 to arrange one.
