POLICE are trying to track down a would-be thief who was trying the doors of cars and properties in Inverkip.
Residents in Jacobs Close reported a man described as having dark hair or a dark hat, wearing a grey hoodie and jogging pants the same colour.
He was seen loitering around 3.45am on Thursday.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101.
