COUNCIL registration staff are continuing to work through the big backlog of births to be recorded.

Parents are now able to register the birth of their baby following the lockdown which saw the service suspended.

Registration appointments are being organised on a staggered basis.

Newborns born during April will be registered from today up to July 24.

Babies who arrived in May can then be registered from July 27.

Families who had a new arrival in June will be able to lodge the paperwork from August 10.

Appointments can be booked by calling 01475 714250.
