A WOMAN attempted to cough directly into a man's face after blocking his entry into the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole.

An investigation has been launched by police following the "distressing incident".

It was reported that a man attempted to enter the town centre retail complex when two women stood in front blocking the entrance.

The woman became verbally abusive and one of them attempted to cough directly into the victim's face.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Jon Park, of Dorset Police, said: “This was understandably a distressing incident for the victim due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

“As part of my investigation I have obtained a CCTV image of a woman I would like to speak to.

“I would urge anyone who recognises her to please contact police as soon as possible.”
