Several hundred people gathered nearby Linn Cemetary in Glasgow for the funeral of Badreddin Abadlla Adam, before being asked to leave by police.
The funeral for the man shot dead by police was expected to take place at 2pm on Saturday but was delayed while officers tried to disperse the large gathering which went against Covid-19 restrictions.
It is understood the burial service had not started before 3pm.

28-year-old Adam was shot dead by police in West George Street after he seriously injured six people in a knife attack.
PC David Whyte was among those injured in the attack which took place on June 26.
Current governmental guidance allow for a maximum of 20 guests at funeral services.
At the time of the attack Adam, who is from Sudan, was being housed at the Park Inn hotel which was being used as temporary accommodation for asylum seekers.
