THE scaffolding surrounding the new £20m health centre in Greenock has been stripped away as progress on the project continues.
The car parks have been completed and internal fit out works are also well under way on all four levels.
Power cables have been run into the facility, completing the installation of utilities.
The development is being carried out by BAM Construction, one of the country’s largest builder.
Work was due to finish this autumn, but it has been held up by coronavirus safety restrictions, meaning the opening of the building will be delayed.
BAM have targeted early 2021 for the handover.
The new state-of-the-art centre on the site of the former Wellington Academy school will replace the current health centre in nearby Duncan Street.
