TRAFFIC flow was badly affected on Inverclyde's busiest road as the area continues to be hit by heavy rain.
Photographer Kenny Ramsay sent us these images of cars trying to plot their way through the deep water along East Hamilton Street on the A8 after relentless downpours swamped Inverclyde from early this morning.
One driver said: "It is always that road that seems to get hit hardest.
"It is a bit better than it used to be, but the same places still seem to flood quite badly and cause havoc, especially at peak traffic times."
The flooding also led to the closure of the A78 near Skelmorlie.
The good news is the rain is due to ease as the evening progresses, with it expected to settle around 8pm before gradually coming to a stop soon afterwards according to forecasters.
