A kind-hearted school leaver has touched the hearts of hundreds after leaving a parting gift in her old locker.

The Notre Dame pupil, who did not get to finish her S6 studies as planned due to Covid-19, chose to leave an inspiring note and stationary in the locker that will be used by a new S1 student.

The kind gesture, which was shared by the local high school on social media, has tugged on the heart strings of over 500 people since it was posted last week.

A spokesperson for the Dunlop Street school said: "We are always very proud of the achievements of our pupils, but this act of kindness by one of our departing S6 students really tugged at our heart strings.

"One lucky S1 pupil will open their new locker to discover an inspirational note of advice and some helpful gifts from an incredibly talented and completely selfless departing S6 student.

"Our sincere thanks to this student for their inspirational kindness."
