A POLICE operation led to hundreds of pounds worth of crack cocaine being taken off the streets.
Officers were alerted to reports of someone selling drugs on Tuesday at 10.35am at the entrance to the Wellpark in Greenock.
A suspect was searched and allegedly found in possession of a substance believed to be the class A illegal substance.
Police say it has a street value of £600 and was found in wrappings concealed in the 55-year-old man's clothing.
Greenock police are urging members of the public to report any suspected drug dealing to them on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
