INVERCLYDE'S MP today urged local smartphone users to download the new 'Protect Scotland' app.
The mobile app, launched yesterday, aims to to help suppress the spread of coronavirus.
The app will notify users in the event of close contact with someone who tests positive.
Mr Cowan said: "This free and anonymous app is available via the Apple and Google app stores to support NHS Scotland’s Test and Protect system and I would encourage Inverclyde residents to consider downloading it."
