A COASTGUARD rescue team was called to Inverkip beach after a kayaker got into difficulties.
The man needed help after having falling into the Clyde from his kayak around 3.15pm on Sunday.
Coastguard units attended, including the rescue helicopter from Prestwick Airport, which found the person - who was wearing a wetsuit and lifejacket - and had made it safely to the shoreline.
Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team's paramedic crew assisted the person.
