INVERCLYDE Council is in discussion with the Scottish Government to try and establish a walk-in coronavirus testing centre.
The plan is for a facility with a capacity to undertake three 300 tests a day which would be located in a central area designed for pedestrian use.
The intention would be for the walk in test centre to be deployed for a minimum of three months.
The matter will be discussed at a meeting of the council's policy and resources committee today.
