A DRIVER had a lucky escape after a car went out of control and plunged down an embankment into a back garden.
The accident happened in Port Glasgow's Glenhuntly Road.
The blue Fiat vehicle bearing 'P' plates ploughed through a fence and was left badly damaged after rolling on to its side and coming to rest atop a small wall behind a house.

A spokesperson said: "Officers attended at Glenhuntly Road, Port Glasgow after reports of crash involving one vehicle.
"There were no reports of any injuries."
