A GREENOCK man has been charged with knifing a woman whilst free on two bail orders for other criminal matters.
Jamie Keith is also said to have been in breach of a night-time curfew at the time of the alleged blade assault to injury.
Prosecutors say he struck the female on her body with a knife at a flat in the Drumfrochar area of the town on May 21.
He had been released on bail less than a month earlier.
Keith is now set to spend his 42nd birthday later this month locked up on the remand over the knife attack allegation.
He has pleaded not guilty through lawyer Edel McGinty at the first calling of the indictment matter at the sheriff court.
The case is due to call again on December 1.
