Another restaurant has temporarily closed its doors after a link to a confirmed case of coronavirus

A staff member at The Dapper Mongoose in Shawlands has been identified as a close contact to a coronavirus case.

The Kilmarnock Road restaurant took "the very difficult decision to close" out of consideration for the safety of staff and guests.

Track and protect staff will contact any guests who may have been affected.

The team has yet to confirm a reopening date.

A statement on Facebook reads: "We have been contacted by test and protect service to say that one of our staff has been identified as a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case.

"The safety of our guests and staff is our priority, and in light of this we have taken the very difficult decision to close.

"While we have strictly followed all the government guidance, these things are out with our control. We will keep you updated for a reopening date.

"Thanks for your understanding and support."
