ROAD chiefs want to shut off a section of a Port Glasgow street to cars amid safety concerns.
Councillors will be asked to approve action to designated a narrow part of Campsie Road as a footpath to be used by pedestrians and cyclists.
Officials say it should not accessed by vehicles in the 'interest of road safety'.
The changes, approved by environment and regeneration committee, will now go before elected members at the next full council meeting.
