A GROUP of big-hearted community gardeners stepped in to offer a helping hand to plot holders at Greenock allotments ravaged by fires.
Four buildings were torched at Caddlehill Allotment Gardens on September 13 - taking the total number of buildings there hit by blaze attacks since the start of the year to eight.
The team at Belville Community Garden offered an area for Caddlehill gardeners who had been left without greenhouse facilities and planting space.
Plotholders were able to politely decline the offer but say they were very grateful that the team at Belville took the time to think about them in their hour of need.
