A MAN has been charged with twice trying to break-in to the McDonald's fast food restaurant in Port Glasgow.

Craig Hill, 22, is said to have attempted to gain entry to the premises by applying bodily pressure to the door on consecutive days in August.

Prosecutors say the alleged offences occurred when Hill, of Paton Street in Greenock, was on bail regarding another criminal matter.

He pleaded not guilty at the sheriff court through lawyer Gerry Keenan and was allowed bail on a nighttime curfew to remain at home between 7pm and 7am each day.

Hill has also been barred from the McDonald's outlet.

The case is due to call again next January.
