A FLAT in the east end of Greenock has been firebombed.
The blaze happened at Kincaid Court late last night and is the fourth such incident in the town in a fortnight.
Residents from neighbouring flats were evacuated as flames shot up the building.
Detectives are treating the fire at the ground floor flat as wilful.
A police spokesman said: "We can confirm there was a fire at a property at Kincaid Court at 10.30pm last night.
"We are appealing for witnesses.
"It is at the very early stages of the inquiry."
