Battery Park Greenock fireworks display 2019
THE council has confirmed that this year's fireworks display is off.
The Tele reported earlier in the year how the annual event was set to become a casualty of the coronavirus restrictions.
Officials have now announced that the the event scheduled for November 7 at Battery Park will not go ahead.
The local authority says the decision has been taken 'due to ongoing limitations on outdoor live events'.
