A NEW takeaway and coffee shop will open at the site of a former pub in Greenock.
Council officials have given the green light for the development at the former Overdraft bar/Melrose Lounge on the corner of Old Inverkip Road and Inverkip Road.
Developers M&R Properties plan to open a pizzeria and pasta outlet at the Barrs Cottage premises.
The takeaway will trade from 11am to 1am seven days a week while the coffee shop will be open 9am-6pm all week.
